Hats for Charity

Tonight several of my knitting friends gathered at Coralee's new home.  I'm so happy for her -- she found a great condo at a fabulous price and once she adds her own touch of new paint and carpet she'll be all set.

Tanya had worked on a new plan -- knit and felt a bunch of hats, embellish them, and place them in Amici's Pizza restaurant in Berkley for a silent auction.  The South Oakland Shelter will benefit from all money raised.  Tanya and Judith did the knitting and felting and the rest of us gathered tonight to add the embellishments.  Judith had received a boatload of donated yarn and some of it was used for these hats.

Here are a few of the hats we completed:

It was a lot of fun finishing these up and we all enjoyed 'leftovers' from Christmas dinner, too.
